cream of chestnut and celery soup

This is our favorite soup so just one photo was not enough. Here are some more documenting the process.

Note the 2001 paper edition of the What, ME Cook? book. And French chestnuts from Trader Joe's a year old, way past the expected shelf life. Didn't seem to matter.
