THE TEAM:
- Isgouhi, born in Aleppo, a gastronomic center of Middle Eastern cuisine
due to its large Armenian community.
Paula Wolfert recognized the culinary importance of Aleppo
and its famous Aleppo red pepper. Isgouhi brings her intimate knowledge of
Armenian-Lebanese-Jordanian cuisine to the team. Wizzard with labor
intensive highly skilled ethnic dishes like kibbeh and stuffed veggies.
- Ani, born in Damascus, youth spent in Anjar Lebanon, an initially
reluctant cook resisting the female stereotype that accompanied her family
to the US from Lebanon, but as an analytical chemist has natural kitchen
skills appropriate for a food laboratory. Spice and dough queen in the team.
- bob, born in tiny Florida (NY). mathematical physicist, failed artist
and semi-retired cheesecake specialist now fully retired from a lifetime of
mostly calc teaching and general relativistic mathematical exploration.
Eager to try new dishes especially if nutritious. Souz chef to kitchen boss
Ani except for most desserts which Ani's missing sweet tooth religously
avoids.
